John Hudson was reading his colleague's copy of
Sprint (TVRCC monthly magazine) last year when he spotted our advert
for stainless steel wheel nuts. John called me and asked whether
we did one with a 1/2 inch UNF thread suitable for his Model A.
Model A I enquired? I didn't know TVR had ever produced a Model
A. John
went on to explain that he had a 1929 Ford Model A that had incredibly
rusty wheel nuts.
Since the end of last year John has
been using our TVR Tuscan wheel nuts on his Model A but we've
recently reversed engineered an original Model A wheel nut and
produced
our own nuts from 316 grade (marine) stainless steel.
Neville Jones helped us to modify the original Model A nut design
so that our nuts locate properly on the wheel and do not protrude
through, engaging on the hub, as often happens with the original
nut design. Neville has since bought two sets of 23 Shinynuts
for both of his Model As.
